A Kentucky teachers union recently boasted about having the highest graduation rate in the nation.
However, what they don't tell you is that only 25% of Kentucky high school graduates are college ready in math.
We must quit lowering the bar just for the sake of pushing more people through the system.
Instead of focusing on good teaching, Kentucky schools are now focusing on teaching anti-racist mathematics that eliminates "whiteness in mathematics education."
While we fully support having an honest discussion about America's past, we believe the best path forward is to educate young minds with a strong foundation in civics and other core subjects.
