It's your tax dollars. It's your child. It's your choice.
School choice is the radical idea that parents have children and governments do not.
And because every child is different, we reject the "one-size-fits-all" model of education.
Instead, we believe that tax dollars should follow your child to the school that best meets your child's needs and reflects your family's values.
In 2021, Kentucky passed its first school choice law called Education Opportunity Accounts.
However, the legislators watered it down in numerous ways:
Students in 112 counties are ineligible for the full program.
Only $25 million was allocated to the program. This is less than 0.3% of what is spent on education.
The bill expires in 2026.
"Choice in education is no mere abstraction.
Like its economic cousin, free enterprise,
and its political cousin, democracy,
it affords hope and opportunity."
- Ronald Reagan -
