Campus free speech

Conservative or liberal, your voice shouldn't be cancelled on a public college campus.

In 2019, Kentucky enacted a campus free speech bill that was meant to allow students to voice their opinions.

However, universities have creatively worked to undermine free speech and the spirit of the law.

For example, when Students for Life displayed crosses in a grassy space to stand up for unborn life, Northern Kentucky University said that those crosses impeded the flow of traffic because students may walk through the grass from one sidewalk to another. Therefore, the crosses were taken down.

The universities will do anything to silence students who attempt to peacefully advocate for their principles.

Sign the petition to stop Kentucky's public universities from silencing students.

"We don’t have freedom of speech so we can talk about the weather.  We have the First Amendment so that we can say some very controversial things."
