Stop the mask mandates in schools

Dear Governor Beshear:

​

There is no strong evidence that mask mandates work - particularly in schools.

 

The benefits of masks are minimal. Children are less likely to be infected by COVID. Additionally, they are less likely to transmit the disease. 

​

On the other hand, the harms of masking are real. Children need to see facial expressions to develop their communication and language skills.  

 

That is why I insist that you withdraw your mask mandate in Kentucky immediately.
